Message from the Headteacher

Headteacher at St James Primary SchoolAt St James Primary School we offer high quality education for children between the ages of four and eleven in a stimulating, challenging, happy and safe environment. Our school enjoys a very good reputation in Blackburn and demand for places is high.

We are very proud of our school and everyone has an important part to play in our success.   We work hard to foster positive, effective relationships with the parents and families of St. James’ children and with the wider community.

We have high expectations for all our children at St James Primary School but above all, we want our pupils to be happy and successful individuals.  We endeavour to help all of our children achieve, whether they are academic high flyers or in need of a little more support. We believe that learning should be enjoyable and that children are happy when gaining success in a secure and reassuring environment.

We recognise and value the important role that parents play and see effective education as a partnership between home and school. Our aim is to help children in our care become self-confident and independent individuals who respect all members of our school community and recognise their growing responsibilities as citizens.
