Admissions
New Reception Intake
Children are admitted to school in September of the school year in which they will be five. The standard number for new entrants is 60.
Please note, all the school admissions are processed through the Local Authority. Parents should contact Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council's Children's Services.
In Year Admissions
Applications for each year group are considered by the Local Authority. If you wish for your child to attend St James' an application should be submitted to Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council's Children's Services.
Over Subscription
If there are more applicants for admission than available spaces then the admission criteria applies. The admissions criteria is detailed in the Admissions Policy.

Parents are invited to ring the school office (01254 698335) and make an appointment with Mrs Rehman, the School Pastoral Leader, to visit the school prior to admission.
